About Us

My Way was born out of the frustration of the lengthy processes of service provider and equipment wait times. We asked the question "why do participants need to wait for basic and necessary items?" Mainstream community recipients would not accept this so why should NDIS participants?

My Way is motivated by the social justice principles of: equity, diversity, participation, access to a supportive environment and human rights.  Declined supports are challenged, and all reasonable and necessary avenues are explored.

My Way is not a fan of "the band aide approach" and tick boxes. My Way has a keen interest in identifying root causes of issues such as behaviors of concern, mental health and disabilities. My Way "thinks outside the box" and accesses alternative therapies where possible. My Way works closely with the participant's team to ensure team approach accountability. My Way is interested in seeing changes to participants so that they can evolve, increase independence and not remain stagnant or worse off since receiving NDIS support.

My Way has also developed a keen interest in customized assistive technology and home modifications to fit the participant rather than the participant having to adapt to existing technology.

Hence the meaning behind the business name "My Way" is all about the participants way, not society's way.
